The AIPAD Show

Today I had an opportunity to attend The AIPAD Photography Show and what a delight it was, some amazing collection of photographs, very inspirational. The tour was curated by Sean Corcoran, Curator of Prints and Photographs for Museum of the City of New York.

I arrived to the Park Ave Armory around 9am and the tour begun around 9:30, the second we walked in I knew it was going to be great. It was actually my first visit to the armory, great place. Each row of the gallery offered something new, some photos I came back to twice there were that good. Given enough time I probably would have spent half a day there studying each photograph, but unfortunately I had to go back to work. I will have to come back again next year :)

Thanks to the show I have discovered some photographers that I recommend for anyone to look up their work:

1. Christopher Bucklow
2. Therry Cohen
3. Robert Frank
4. Walter Martin & Paloma Munoz
5. Gregory Scott
6. Stephen Wilkes

Meeting Thomas Leuthard

Let's start with a little history. I have always loved photography, but it did not become part of my daily routine until about year ago. Last year I switched all my gear to micro four thirds system, which allowed me to bring the camera with me everywhere and I also discovered and read a book called Going Candid by Thomas Leuthard. After reading his book is why I actually started exploring street photography, I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys photography to read it. I was hoping one day to have the pleasure to meet with Thomas and last night I finally did meet with him over dinner and we took a nice photowalk together to Time Square. First I want to say thank you to him and second here are some pictures from our walk, please enjoy:
